As I've been scouring the shelves for the latest and greatest in eyewear/sunglass trends this season. I've noticed quite the adoption of Round Wayfarers. As it comes by no suprise, since we've seen the explosion of wayfarers and round sunglasses. As we prepare for the Summer season here at OC Shades, we've made it a point to cover the P-3 style sunglasses in our catalog.

A bit of sunglass history: p-3 Round Wayfarer Sunglasses

First introduced in the 1930's. The P-3 Round Wayfarer Sunglasses derives its name from the actual eyewear manufacturers, and it refers to the classic style that falls between oval and round shapes with slight wayfarer characteristics. The top of the frame is round with slightly pointed temples and finished with rounded bottoms. Activist such as Andy Warhol & John Lennon favored these styles.

Available only at Barney's CO-OP, Mosley Tribes' new frame, the TANA, features an exclusive custom green mirrored lens. The case is constructed from 16 oz. dry canvas (salvaged from WWII-era European military issue infantry bags and oiled saddle leather detailing), as Temple Bags Co. is known for turning historic and rare materials into new and unique bags, and the frame sleeve is constructed completely out of materials reclaimed from WWII ripstop parachutes and cords. With Super Bowl XLV now in the history books, many people are left with the memories of a great game, a few good commercials, and a very interesting and entertaining half time show. The Laker-Celtic rivalry has been historically one of the most intense rivalries in NBA history. Recently the rivalry has died off since the retirement of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. The Lakers and Celtics have met 10 times in the NBA Finals and as history goes, the Lakers have won the previous 2 NBA Final meetings.

The Celtics and the Lakers will return to the finals together for the first time in 21 years. During the regular season, the Celtics beat the Lakers during both meetings however it occurred before the Lakers acquired Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies.
