Jeff Mills x Axis Records x Gamma Player Sunglasses

Techno music icon Jeff Mills and his influential record company Axis Records recently collaborated with Chicago based clothing boutique Gamma Player to produce a signature line of sunglasses. Handcrafted and made from high quality acetates, their first style of sunglasses comes in 5 different colors and is scheduled to be released in March. What do you guys think of these glasses?

Blackbird x Han Kjobenhavn Sunglasses

Seattle based company Blackbird has recently released three new sunglasses styles, all developed by Han Kjobenhavn. The Wolf Sun style is our favorite, and the style we are featuring today. The sunglasses are Blackbird's dark and dapper take on classic American wayfarer sunglasses. Large, semi-transparent tortoise frames are complimented by thick and sturdy, black temple arms, which is a beautiful look for this spring. Warby Parker 2011 Eyewear Collection

Recently released by Warby Parker is their 2011 eyewear collection. Consisting of only premium, meticulously crafted presciption eyewear, their new line features 14 new styles, each with new frame colors. Warby Parker's vintage-inspired and fashion forward company also has a purpose to help others. In collaboration with RestoringVision.org, they look to donate one pair of glasses for every pair they sell. Ksubi 2011 Spring New Releases

We would like to showcase the newly released Ksubi 2011 Spring/Summer collection, consisting of 18 solid designs in total. Ksubi is quite possibly Australia's most iconic fashion brand, which was first created in 2000 by Dan Single and George Gorrow. The use of heavy metal mesh, deserted island floral acetate and duty clerk optical combine for an industrial yet sculpted range, giving off a futuristic feel. The collection is simple yet built with an eclectic mix of styles, inspired by pop comic, steam punk and vintage, creating a contrasting but unified & original look. The Rock Sunglasses, Returns to WWE RAW

This past Monday, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made his return to the WWE on Monday Night RAW, and announced that he will be the special guest host of Wrestlemania 27. Making an amazing return to the ring, after seven long years, the charismatic "most electifying man in entertainment" was seen wearing a pair of Strummer sunglasses by Oliver Peoples, as he showcased why he is the best in the business on the microphone. For the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, Justin Bieber performed with Usher and Jaden Smith, and we here at OC Shades spotted both JB and Usher wearing some very nice designer sunglasses during their Grammy performance. Justin Bieber was wearing the KVA sunglasses by Oliver Peoples and Usher was wearing the Cooper by Mykita. Mosley Tribes x Temple Bags Co. For Barney's Co-Op

Last week, Mosley Tribes and Temple Bags Co. released their sunglasses, custom frame case, and protective sleeve collaboration. Available only at Barney's CO-OP, Mosley Tribes' new frame, the TANA, features an exclusive custom green mirrored lens. The case is constructed from 16 oz. dry canvas (salvaged from WWII-era European military issue infantry bags and oiled saddle leather detailing), as Temple Bags Co. is known for turning historic and rare materials into new and unique bags, and the frame sleeve is constructed completely out of materials reclaimed from WWII ripstop parachutes and cords. This collaboration is only being released in limited quantities, so go out and check them out while you can!

SUPER x Liberty of London Lucia Sunglasses Collection (Spring 2011)

The Italian brand SUPER recently teamed up in collaboration with Liberty of London for a few new colorways of their Lucia sunglasses for their Spring 2011 eyewear collection. Liberty adds their signature flower patterns to the frames, adding a vibrant, eclectic style to the glasses. Chanel Quilted Leather Sunglasses (Spring / Summer 2011)

Chanel has recently released a few photos from their Spring / Summer 2011 Collection, which includes a new style of sunglasses! The sunglasses feature a quilted leather detailing along the temples, using the same luxurious leather used in their handbags. Another interesting feature is that the leather covered portion can be raised to reveal a hidden mirror, adding even more opulence to these beautiful sunglasses. Black Eyed Peas / Usher Super Bowl Half Time Show Sunglasses

With Super Bowl XLV now in the history books, many people are left with the memories of a great game, a few good commercials, and a very interesting and entertaining half time show. What we noticed was the sunglasses the Black Eyed Peas and Usher were wearing during their half time performance, and thought our followers would love to know what they were. Apl.de.ap was wearing the Gordon, by Mykita in collaboration with Romain Kremer. Will.i.am. wore the Porsche 5620, a classic retro style that is out of production and hard to find. Usher wore the Boyd, made by Badgley Mischka, fitting his all white outfit. Each of these sunglasses gave their interesting and futuristic looks a little something extra for their performance.
