The Laker-Celtic rivalry has been historically one of the most intense rivalries in NBA history. Recently the rivalry has died off since the retirement of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. The Lakers and Celtics have met 10 times in the NBA Finals and as history goes, the Lakers have won the previous 2 NBA Final meetings.
The Celtics and the Lakers will return to the finals together for the first time in 21 years. During the regular season, the Celtics beat the Lakers during both meetings however it occurred before the Lakers acquired Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies. This 2008 NBA Finals will be one to make history, that is a guarantee!!
